Questions I get a lot.

How long does a project typically take?

Most custom WordPress sites take 4–8 weeks from kickoff to launch. Smaller pages or fixes can wrap up in days; complex builds with custom ACF fields, integrations, or migrations stretch closer to 2–3 months. I'll give you a realistic timeline after our first call so you know exactly what to expect.

How much does a custom WordPress site cost?

Pricing depends on scope — number of pages, level of design customization, integrations, and whether we're building from scratch or migrating an existing site. Most projects fall between $3,500 and $12,000. Send me a quick note about what you have in mind and I'll send back a transparent estimate.

Do you offer ongoing support after launch?

Yes. I offer monthly care plans that cover updates, backups, security, and a real human you can email when something breaks. Pricing depends on the level of involvement — light maintenance starts around $75/month. We'll talk through the right fit during onboarding.

Can you migrate my existing site?

Almost always. I've migrated WordPress sites between hosts, rebuilt sites that were stuck on broken page builders, moved from Squarespace and Wix to WordPress, and rescued sites after malware infections. If you've got an existing site you want to move, send me the URL and I'll let you know what's involved.

Will I be able to update my site myself?

Absolutely. Every site I build comes with custom workflow documentation written in plain English, plus a 30-minute training call where I walk you through editing your own content. Most clients are confidently managing their site within a week of launch.

What hosting do you recommend?

For most clients, WP Engine or Flywheel — both are managed WordPress hosts that handle backups, caching, and security automatically. If budget is tight, Hostinger or SiteGround work well. I steer clear of GoDaddy and Bluehost for WordPress; performance and support tend to be rough.

Do you do SEO?

I build every site with SEO fundamentals in place — clean code, fast load times, proper heading structure, schema markup, sitemaps, image alt text. Beyond that, I can integrate Yoast SEO or Rank Math for ongoing optimization. Full-on content strategy and link-building campaigns are outside my scope, but I'll connect you with people I trust.

What if my site gets hacked?

I've cleaned up more hacked WordPress sites than I can count. If yours has been compromised, send me a note with the URL and what you're seeing. I'll get you back online, lock it down, and help you understand what went wrong so it doesn't happen again.
